Skinfood Egg White Pore Mask Review
If my nose were a garden, my pores would be gopher holes, and my blackheads would be the fat gophers living inside. But thankfully I've come across this pore mask, which I am just loving!
This time there was only a slight difference, but back when my pores/blackheads were ginormous it would pull them out about a 1/4 or 1/3 of the way! It was enough to see them poking out with the naked eye, yet not enough that they could be easily removed with mere exfoliation. Plucking maybe... It's a double-edged sword I suppose~
2.) Shrinking: Again, back when I had larger pores, I saw very noticeable shrinkage (about 30-40%), but lately I've noticed less change since my pores are smaller now (although I can't say that's due to the mask though, since I don't use it regularly).
So instead, here is a photo of my boyfriend's results, since his pores show up better on camera:
Usually within a day or so my pore size returns to normal. As of right now I can't comment on possible long-term results, but I'll update this post once I reach a conclusion!
[Update 8/17/12: Two months later, my pores are noteably smaller, even on bad days. (Of course, I can't be compleeetely sure this is due to the mask though!) Also, as I mentioned before, with smaller/less clogged pores, come smaller results. You'll also want to make sure you exfoliate for maximum effectiveness!]
[Update 9/23/12: Yep, it's affirmative! Now that my pores are smaller and much less clogged--they used to be over-the-top clogged, but now they're only about halfway clogged, if that makes any sense--I see barely any 'pulling out of blackheads' and just a wee bit of pore size shrinking.
So in conclusion, bigger pores, blackheads --> bigger results! smaller pores, blackheads --> smaller results]
I really really like it! This is the first mask that actually visibly reduces my pore size and removed my blackheads! (Well, kind of removed.) You know how all these skin products always talk about minimizing pores, but meh, I never notice anything...! And even though this doesn't fully remove my blackheads, I still think the partial extraction is a good prep to complement any subsequent methods of blackhead removal! :)

Basically, this wash-off mask claims to do two things to your pores: 1) cleanse, and 2) shrink. They say: It penetrates deep into your pores, binding to and removing any blackheads and pore-clogging oil. The albumin-rich egg white extract promotes firmer skin and smaller pores.
▼ It comes in a sturdy, medium-sized plastic tub lined with stickers. You can peel the cap sticker open to find the ingredients!
The container might seem modest in size at first, but it actually holds quite an abundant amount inside, enough to last me at least 7 months or so! Inside you'll also find a thin, plastic inner lid: ▼
Off-white in color, this is a creamy, soft, and buttery paste that smells of flowers. It’s quite moist for a paste, though not in the least bit runny. (It dries up once you apply it, actually!) The moisture-shine is a bit exaggerated in my photos...it's actually quite matte in real life! Me bad~ ^^;
Application is very smooth. It practically glides onto your skin! Soon afterwards it begins drying. It dries into a soft, powder-like veneer over your skin.
It feels very gentle on my face. Sometimes I get a "spicy" warm feeling, but it's benign. I have normal/dry skin and I don’t find the mask drying for my skin, nor does it make my skin feel tight. I mean, I do feel *the mask* drying up, but not as though it’s taking moisture from *my* skin, you know?
So how well did it live up to its claims?

Thinking of the next Film and Comic Con...
Tickets have been ordered tonight for our next convention. It takes place early next month.
So that does not leave me with much time prepare outs for myself and S.H.
While there the two main things I want to achieve are getting autographs from a couple of my favorite actors/actresses, from some of my favourite shows.

Expo May 2012 part three
Hello again dear friends,
Now that you have seen our pictures from expo I would like to share with you some of the wonderful outfits that others were wearing on this very hot day,
There were cats crawling around the hall.
The lady wearing this beautiful dress asked for my picture, I was asked twice. S.H. did so well walking around in character that he was asked for many photo's in fact some of the facial expressions he did were actually quite scary and lots of 'why so serious?' comments .
A very dashing young gentleman who was quite happy to be asked for his photograph by a stranger.
I will not post all our pictures here but they are on my Sew Vala facebook page if you wish to see them.
And last dress of the day
Isn't she just a sport.
We don't really go to buy things, it's more about getting the chance to dress up for us, unless there is a certain actress / actor autograph there signing.
The one thing that got me most excited on this day was a young lady sitting at a workshop table with a book and sewing patterns in front of her. As the whole event is about sharing and meeting people I could not resist walking up to her to ask to have a look at what she had.
I am really not the sort of person who talks to strangers, but on occasions like this well everyone is there to enjoy the spirit of things.
It's a Japanese sewing pattern book, along the lines of Burda (whith a pull out pattern sheet). It's called Gosu Rori which is a gothic / lolita genre.
I took pictures of the book and did an internet search once home. And now I am eagerly awaiting for my copy in the post.
So that was our day, if you went too I hope you had as much fun as we all did.

Expo May 2012 part two
Hello friends,
I hope you like yesterdays pictures from our day at Expo, today I will share some more.
Firstly here is what my daughter wore
She is a character from an internet comic 'HomeStuck' , I must apologize she did inform me of the name but it escapes me.
She let me take a few pictures when we got there, then off she went to the HomeStuck meet-up. Apart from coming across them during one of their photo-shoots (she is far right) we didn't see her all day.
Wow was she hot when we met up at the end of the day. A hot day and a black morph suit makes for one very tired and black dye stained very very happy teenager.
As for me
Any guesses, nope thought not. No-body seemed to know who I was. It seems you cross two genres and people get confused. Here was my inspirational picture

Still no. Steampunk Princess Leia.
I am sorry to say only two pieces of this outfit we made the rest was bought.
Using this pattern I made the chemise Simpicity 2163
I decided not to add the sleeves, I satin bound the edge instead. And I also did not do the large colar and used lace and beading to add extra detail.
The other make, was the Leia buns, using a hair do-nut sponge and false hair headbands,
Even S.H. had a go at sewing the plaits onto the sponge.
And with plenty of bobby pins they actually stayed in place all day, they were not heavy in fact I forgot I was wearing them.
We were expecting a cold may so the coat only got worn for this shot, such a shame it is lovely. But I am sure I will get lots of use of of it. As for the corset that is definitely going to be worn alot. How gorgeous is this,
As promised tomorrow I will let you about our day.
Now there are at least five more conventions we would love to go to this year if the buget allows, so best get started on thinking up new costumes for everyone.
